The sample clock can be supplied externally or by an internal clock source (optionally locked to an external reference). The clock tree enables cascading of multiple boards for phase-locked sampling. A trigger input is also available for customized sampling control.

The FMC424 is a dual QSFP+ FPGA Mezzanine Card. Electrically compliant with the VITA 57.1 standard the FMC424 is compatible with 4DSP FPGA carrier cards offering High Pin Count connectors. It also allows for the option to stack an additional FMC over it. Any of the 4DSP FMC that use LVDS and single ended signaling only can be mounted over the FMC424, thus offering users with the ability to build a complete high speed data acquisition, waveform generation and optical communication solution while using a single FMC site on an FPGA carrier card.

The RFM-ADCFN04 is a four channel Analog to Digital converter FMC which complies with VITA 57.1-2010. Each channel provides DC coupled single-end analog input and digital output with DC-250KHz sampling speed based on Linear Technology’s LTC2376-16. The output is 16-bit data and it can be obtained through SPI interface on LTC2376-16 from the FPGA on the FMC carrier board. One trigger input is provided for capture control.

It offers 4 Gen 2.0, x1 lane PCIe interfaces through a switch which allows 4 PCIe104 cards to be connected to the ARM on the Zynq which acts as the host. The FMC103 is a four-channel ADC FMC (FPGA Mezzanine Card) which is fully compliant with the VITA 57.1-2010 standard. The FMC103 card provides four 12-bit 210 MSPS A/D channels which can be sampled by an internal clock source (optionally locked to an external reference) or an externally supplied sample clock. A trigger input for customized sampling control is also available. The FMC103 has the LPC (Low-Pin Count) 160-Pin connector, front panel I/O, and is conduction cooled compliant. The board is also available with Mil-I-46058c compliant Conformal Coating.

This enables a variety of cards to be added to a system, for example extra Ethernet ports, video in/out, High speed ADC / DAC etc. Data from these extra cards (along with data from the SMT700’s own inputs – up to 1Gb/s Ethernet, 2.5Gb/s optical links, and RSL links) can be processed via the Virtex 5, or by another linked card or module.
