I/O Modules
esd offers a wide range of compact stand-alone I/O modules for CANopen and EtherCAT. The modules of the CAN-CBX series offer the possibility of easy mounting in the DIN rail due to the InRailBus. All CANopen modules operate according to CANopen profiles in compliance with the CiA® specification CiA 301.

Networking

Software
For the comprehensive range of CAN interfaces layer-2 drivers are available for most kinds of operating systems. Perfect portability is provided by means of esd's universal NTCAN-API, which is identical for all operating systems. The usability of higher layer CAN protocols at these operating systems is also ensured, because they are based on this API. The NTCAN-API is included in the scope of delivery of the CAN modules.

Mezzanine Cards
PMC and XMC are the quasi standard for mezzanine cards in VME systems. esd's PMC and XMC modules extend your system with a bus interface (CAN, EtherCAT, Ethernet) or an intelligent sub system (e.g. XMC-CPU/2041, PMC-CPU/440). Furthermore esd develops customized PMC and XMC modules. VME systems without PMC slot can be extended with an esd VME-PMC-Caddy or PCIe-XPIMC-Carrier board.
