Radarlösung für Füllstand von Schmelzöfen
Mit OndoSense Radarsensoren lässt sich der Füllstand im Schmelzofen oder Schmelztiegel kontaktlos mit Sub-Millimetergenauigkeit kontrollieren – selbst bei Metalltemperaturen von bis zu 1600 Grad Celsius. Insbesondere für die Rückgewinnung von Aluminium, Stahl oder Kupfer (Recycling von Metallschrott) ist eine kontinuierliche, hochpräzise Füllstandsmessung im Schmelzofen erforderlich. So ermitteln Sie genau, ab welchem Zeitpunkt das Metall vollständig geschmolzen ist.

Radar solution for launder systems level
The precise level measurement of molten metal in the launder system guarantees a controlled, reliable filling of casting pits, casting ladles and casting molds. Our radar sensors measure the level of liquid steel, copper or aluminum in open or closed launder systems, channels or troughs with a measurement accuracy in the sub-millimeter range – even at a metal temperature of up to 1600 degrees Celsius.

Radar solution for molten metal filling level measurement
With the OndoSense radar sensors, the fill level of liquid steel or aluminum can be measured contact-free with sub-millimeter accuracy, even at metal temperatures of up to 1600 degrees Celsius. Dust, steam, smoke, vibrations and strong heat radiation have no influence on the high precision and reliability of the radar-based molten metal level monitoring. Active cooling of the level radar is usually not necessary.

Our radar sensor solution determines the thickness and the thickness profile of steel plates, steel strips or steel slabs (up to 1600 °C hot) with an accuracy of up to ±10 µm on the roller conveyor. With its wide detection range, the OndoSense reach WA (Wide Angle) is particularly suited for detecting obstacles such as vehicles, people or objects as well as for positioning robots and machines. It detects static and moving objects even at close range from 0.1 meters and can be easily integrated even in confined spaces, thanks to its very small design. With up to 4 adjustable sensor zones, the OndoSense reach WA is ideal for flexible monitoring of security areas or collision avoidance of mobile robots or other vehicles. Thanks to innovative radar technology, the radar sensor always reliably detects objects of any nature, even outdoors or in difficult environments with dirt, smoke, steam, rain or poor lighting conditions. And as a result of its high measuring rate of 200 Hz, it always reliably detects obstacles even with fast movements.
