Magnet wheels work with Electro-Sensors Hall Effect shaft speed sensors providing 120 alternating magnetic poles around the circumference of the 3.75" diameter. The 199SM models mount around shafts up to 3" in diameter and are secured with set screws (provided). The 198EM mounts on the end of a shaft with a 10-32 UNF screw (provided - requires center drilling and tapping the shaft).• Use with 906, 906B, 1101 and other Hall Effect, non-metallic-end-capped shaft speed sensors (consult factory)

Shaft Speed Switches
A speed switch senses rotating shaft speed, comparing it to one or more settable over/under/zero speed alarm trip-points. A shaft speed sensor detects magnets embedded in a shaft-mounted pulser wrap/disc. As the shaft rotates, the passing magnets are detected across an air-gap as pulses with frequency proportional to shaft RPM. When a conveyor belt or bucket elevator begins to slip the pulse frequency (shaft RPM) crosses to the alarm side of a trip-point threshold, a corresponding relay de-energizes, providing shutdown or alarm.

Shaft Speed Sensors
Electro-Sensors offers many shaft speed sensors for virtually any environment. Our Hall-Effect and Magnetoresistive Sensors sense magnetic targets and work with our magnetic pulsers (Discs, Wraps, and Wheels). Our proximity sensors sense ferrous metal targets, including bolt-heads, screws, gearteeth and keyslots. Our speed sensors monitor shaft speed of equipment and output data as PNP, NPN, or 4-20 mA signals. The sensor data can be used by facilities to monitor machinery and safeguard equipment. The HH100 Hand-Held Digital Tachometer combines both contact and non-contact sensing to accurately measure RPM, surface speed, and length. When using the non-contact mode, rotational speed (RPM) is measured using a visible beam of light. The HH100 can be up to 14 inches away from the small piece of reflective tape that is affixed to the rotating element.

Belt Alignment Sensors And Misalignment Switches
Electro-sensors belt alignment sensors are mounted along the conveyor belt that needs to be monitored for misalignment. The rub block assemblies are mounted so that the brass surface area is in-line with the edge of the conveyor belt. When the belt wanders it then rubs up against the brass block. The contact with the belt creates friction and heat that the sensor in the brass block records as a rise in temperature.
